Hannah Storm to Co-Host Closing Ceremony at 2017 Warrior Games in Chicago

Chicago Tribune – Warrior Games in Chicago a Meaningful Assignment for ESPN’s Hannah Storm

Phil Rosenthal, Contact Reporter with the Chicago Tribune features ESPN’s Hannah Storm, and her thoughts behind supporting the 2017 Warrior Games in Chicago.

“Hannah Storm was born in Oak Park, though by the time she was old enough to know where she was, she and her family already were living in Baltimore”.

Her father subsequently would take jobs in Cincinnati, Louisville, Memphis, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Houston and, well, you get the idea. Such is the life connected to pro sports for which her dad enlisted the family, beginning with a cold call to a Chicago franchise owner in desperate need of marketing help.

Storm, who grew up acutely aware of that nexus of sports and the service, is back in Chicago to co-host with Jon Stewart a one-hour ESPN special — live from the United Center at 6 p.m. Friday — showcasing the Department of Defense Warrior Games.

Besides the one-hour special, Storm and Stewart also plan to appear on Friday’s 5 p.m. “SportsCenter.” Stewart is expected to participate in a wheelchair basketball game and appear again on the 10 p.m. “SportsCenter.” Reporter Michele Steele will have Warrior Games segments running earlier in the day.”
