“The Air Force Trials are an adapted sports event designed to promote the mental and physical well-being of seriously ill and injured military veterans. More than 100 injured service men and women from around the country compete for a spot on the 2014 U.S. Air Force Wounded Warrior Team which will represent the Air Force at the 2014 Warrior Games held in Colorado Springs, Colo., in the fall.”

About the Warrior Games

The Warrior Games, which takes place from June 19 – June 28 2015, is an annual sporting competition bringing together wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans from across the country.

The Department of Defense is the 2015 organizer of this competition that will feature eight sporting events with approximately 200 athletes representing teams from the Marine Corps, Army, Navy, Air Force and U.S. Special Operations Command.
