On July 1, 2017, the Pritzker Military Museum and Library hosted a panel discussion centered around the 2017 DoD Warrior Games on ‘Recovery, Rehabilitation, and Reintegration’.  The panel discussion was led by Medal of Honor recipient Florent Groberg and included Ken Fisher, Chairman and CEO of Fisher House Foundation, Vice Admiral C. Forrest Faison, III, the 38th Surgeon General of the United States Navy, Lieutenant Andrew P. Hoyle, Chaplain in the United States Navy.

The Pritzker Museum and Library highlights:  “The Department of Defense (DoD) Warrior Games introduce wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans to Paralympic-style sports. The Warrior Games showcase the resilient spirit of today’s wounded, ill or injured service members from all branches of the military. After overcoming significant injuries and illnesses, these athletes prove that life can continue after becoming wounded, ill and injured.

The 2017 Warrior Games are being held in Chicago to increase awareness of the Games and the significance of the Department of Defense’s Wounded Warrior Program. ”
